When purchasing a water pump, the instruction manual will be marked with “installation, use and precautions”, but for contemporary people, who will read these word for word, so the editor has compiled some points that need to be paid attention to to help you correctly use water pump properly.
Overload use is prohibited
The overload of the water pump is partly due to design flaws in the pump itself, and partly due to the user’s failure to use it correctly in accordance with the instructions.
Long-term operation: When the water pump is used continuously for a long time, the temperature of the motor coil will increase.
Ambient temperature is too high: High ambient temperature will make it difficult for the water pump to dissipate heat, leading to abnormal temperature rise. Aging of parts: Aging of bearings and insulating materials increases the load on the motor, leading to overload.
The root cause of overload is that the withstand temperature of the insulating material exceeds the limit, which can easily lead to short circuit or open circuit and thus overload.

Water source level is too low
If the distance between the water pump inlet and the water source liquid level is too short, it will easily suck in air and cause cavitation, which will “corrode” the surface of the pump body and impeller, greatly reducing its service life.
There is a professional term for the above phenomenon called “required cavitation margin”. Its unit is meters. Simply put, it is the necessary height from the water inlet to the water source liquid level. Only by reaching this height can cavitation be reduced to the greatest extent phenomenon.
The necessary NPSH is marked in the instruction manual, so don’t think that the closer the water pump is to the water source, the less effort it will take.

Irregular installation
Since the water pump is relatively heavy and installed on a soft foundation, the relative position of the water pump will shift, which will also affect the speed and direction of water inflow, thus reducing the transportation efficiency of the water pump.
When installed on a harder foundation, the water pump will vibrate violently without shock absorption measures. On the one hand, it will produce noise; on the other hand, it will accelerate the wear of internal parts and reduce the service life of the water pump.
Installing rubber shock-absorbing rings on the foundation bolts can not only help reduce vibration and noise, but also improve the operational stability of the water pump.

The above are the incorrect ways to use water pumps. I hope it can help everyone use water pumps correctly.
